Day 22: Favorite color
Pink. It’s girly and there are a lot of shades. My favorite shade varies from time to time. And just for the record this isn’t necessarily my favorite color to wear its just a favorite. I also love white, black, and turquoise.
Day 17: Favorite piece of jewelry.
My necklace with the charms of my babies’ initials. I am a HUGE fan of accessories and jewelry so to help make my choice I first ruled out anything I would qualify as accessories. Then I had a lot of jewelry I love, a vintage style diamond necklace my grandma gave me, my Tiffany’s charm bracelet, my wedding ring, my new heart ring, several other necklaces from my husband, my diamond earrings… There was a lot to choose from. I chose this necklace because I always wear it no matter what. I love it because obviously it has to do with my beautiful children that I love so much.
Day 4: favorite kind of footwear.
T-strap sandal. These don’t work in the winter, but are fantastic in the summer. They can be dressed up or down. They are comfortable and about the closest thing to barefoot you can get.
Day 3: Your favorite Land.
New Orleans Square. This is by far my favorite land! It has Pirates, The Haunted Mansion, and the Disney Gallery. Club 33 is also located here which I still don’t really know what that means exactly. My favorite restaurant, Blue Bayou is here. The food is mediocre at best here and way over priced but I love the atmosphere. It’s always nighttime with twinkling stars and the sound of crickets in there. Before having kids I ALWAYS had to eat here on every trip, IF we could get a reservation. New Orleans Square also has the Mint Julep bar and gumbo bread bowls. I also love the shops there especially the Christmas Shop! Then there is the cart with the personalized parasols… Yes I had one at one time. I love the atmosphere of this land.
Day 2: Your favorite smell.
An early summer morning. There are a lot of smells I enjoy like fresh baked cookies, waffle cones, rain, baby powder, but there is a certain smell in the early morning that only occurs in the summer that I just love. It reminds me of driving to Disneyland, driving to the airport to fly to Disney World, and it reminds me of the first day of school. The smell makes me feel happy.
Day 12: A photo of your favorite item of clothing.
Black sweater from Ann Taylor. This was a hard challenge because originally I wanted to pick a cool t-shirt, but I have at least 50 tees… All of which I like A LOT. Then all my other clothes I am in hate with right now. So I chose this sweater. I bought it last year on Mike’s birthday. I wore it all through my pregnancy with Kendall. I belt it when I want to look professional or semi casual (which by the way it usually isn’t this wrinkled). I throw it on with over a t-shirt to look a little less casual when I am work. Throw a crocheted beret with it and my reading glasses and I’m suddenly hipster. Stick a flower in my hair and I’m suddenly a fashionista. From fall to summer I have worn this at least once a week and it’s going to suck when it is too fades to continue wearing. I heart heart it that much.
Day 10: A photo of your favorite store.
ThinkGeek. It’s an online store and yes I picked the same one Mike did. I tried to think of a different store to choose, but this is the only store I consistently shop at. They have a lot of Doctor Who stuff. Which I love love. I can get a ton of geeky accessories there. They also sell a bunch of Big Bang Theory merchandise. Love this store so much. I waste time when I’m bored at work with nothing to do just looking at what new geeky stuff they have.
Day 9: A photo of your favorite television character.
Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones. This was tough at first because I like Jess from New Girl and totally identify with her, the same with Hannah from Girls. I’m all awkward like her, but Daenerys is my favorite. When the show first started I didn’t like her. I felt bad for her because her brother basically treated her like she was a whore. She was just so weak and sad and then she found her inner strength. To me she is a symbol of strength now. She survived so many awful events that many women I think wouldn’t be able to and came out stronger. She’s someone girls should look up to and can remember when they have to face difficult times in their own lives.
Day 6: A photo of your favorite book.
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. This is one of the few books I’ve ever actually reread. It’s a love story, it has some scary aspects, I totally could identify with Jane. Love this book.
Day 9: A photo of a celebrity you would love to be best friends with.
Zooey Deschanel. My real life BFF may as well be Zooey. They have so many similarities. Looks, quirkiness, and even a wheat gluten allergy. So clearly Zooey and I would get a long. Plus if her favorite thing to do is sleep, then we have that in common too.
